The Malware Files Attackers Like to Send

Attackers do not rely on links alone. They often send APK, EXE, ZIP, or PDF files while claiming the file is an invoice, a video, or an official document. Opening it can install malware or launch a malicious script.

File types that deserve caution

• APK and EXE can install malware directly
• ZIP and RAR can hide executables inside
• Some PDF and DOCX files use macros or deceptive links
• JS, BAT, and VBS files can run commands

How to reduce risk

Do not open files from unknown senders. If you need to inspect one, send it to @broryat_bot first and confirm through another channel that the sender really meant to share it.
